When you move in with us, you don’t just become a tenant—you become a member of our cooperative.
You acquire shares in the business, which means you are not only a partner, but also help shape the future of your home region.
One share currently amounts to € 310
The shares are not a rental deposit. They are your contribution to the cooperative’s equity capital.
Depending on the size of the apartment, 2 to 5 shares are required (e.g., $620 for an apartment up to 50 square meters).
You receive an annual dividend on your business assets. The amount is determined by the resolution passed at the relevant general meeting.
Even though we hate to see you go, you can cancel your membership at the end of a fiscal year. Important: We must receive your written cancellation by September 30 of the current year at the latest. Your shares will be paid out after the annual balance sheet has been finalized. This means that you will usually receive your credit balance after the general meeting in June of the following year.
What began as an idea grew into a strong community.
In 1925, committed citizens of Neustadt joined forces to make a difference:
they wanted to create safe and affordable housing. Since then, not only has our
housing stock grown, but so has the trust in our cooperative.
Foundation of the Neustadt Building Association – the first apartments are built
Boom years for residential construction – over 700 new apartments, including some for seniors for the first time
Establishment of the subsidiary for third-party management and property development services
